Scarce poster by Wolf Vostell, created for a competition at Haus am Checkpoint Charlie, proposing a mural for the outer wall of a building at the Berlin border crossing. The black-and-white image, titled Gesetz des Beton (Law of Concrete), depicts a building with a mural covering its entire exterior wall. The proposed image shows a nude female figure with a rectangular slab of concrete embedded between her legs. The work reflects Vostell’s use of Betonierung (from the German Betonieren, meaning “concreting”)—a technique that uses concrete as both material and metaphor.....

Exhibition poster published in conjunction with William Anastasi’s solo show featuring his sculptural work at the Dwan Gallery, New York, in 1970. The oversized postcard announcing Westermann's 1973 "New Sculptures and Graphics" exhibition at the Allan Frumkin Gallery in New York. Westermann was a sculptor, painter and skilled woodworker whose work challenged the Pop Art status quo of the 1960s and he inspired movements such as the Bay Area’s “Funk Art” scene and Chicago's "Hairy Who" group.

The poster for the 2011 exhibition of Tatlin's iconic "Monument for the Third International" at the Shafrazi Gallery in New York. This 1967 model of the work, originally conceived in 1915-1920, was its first showing in the United States. The model is is over 9 feet wide x 16 feet high and materials include enamel on wood, metal and plexiglass with an electric motor. The Shafrazi Gallery closed in 2014.

The folded flyer/catalog for Craig Kauffman's exhibitions held at the Pasadena Art Museum in January-March 1970, which also traveled to the University of California Irvine in March-April, 1970. Kauffman was part of the original stable of artists at LA's legendary Ferus Gallery. The flyer features five panels printed on both sides, with a text by Kauffman, an exhibition checklist, and 6 color reproductions of the sprayed acrylic laquer on vaccum-formed plexiglas works (dated between 1965-1969) that he was known for. A clevery-produced flyer for Sven Lukin's May 19-June 13, 1964 exhibition at Pace Gallery, New York, showing the building's elevator buttons and "Lukin" as the destination on the 3rd Floor. The Latvian born Lukin arrived in New York in 1958, and was one of five painters included in "The Shaped Canvas" exhibit at the Guggenheim museum in 1964. His work in the '60s was a hybrid of painting and sculpture with a minimalist aesthetic, yet usually in brillant color combinations of teal, yellow, green, orange or pink. His works are.....

An invitational exhibition sponsored by the Northwest Institute of Sculpture provides a snapshot into the materials, prices and artists of the day. This exhibition was housed at the Seattle Art Museum Pavilion with the aim to present recent work of primarily Washington based sculptors and include a few regional sculptors in a non-juried show. Some of the artists included were Manuel Izquierdo, Betty Feves, Jan Zach, Lee Kelly, George Tsutakawa and Phillip Levine. A great addition to your NW art history ephemera collection.

James Lee Hansen is a staple in NW sculpture and is still working today. This early solo exhibition of his work at the legendary Fountain Gallery in Portland, Oregon is commemorated with this two color poster most likely designed by Dale Ott. folded as issued.
