The oversized postcard announcing Westermann's 1973 "New Sculptures and Graphics" exhibition at the Allan Frumkin Gallery in New York. Westermann was a sculptor, painter and skilled woodworker whose work challenged the Pop Art status quo of the 1960s and he inspired movements such as the Bay Area’s “Funk Art” scene and Chicago's "Hairy Who" group. Item #1727.

Condition: Fair, long crease and bump along right side from mailing; spotting to front of card along bottom text; machine addressed and stamped on verso.
