Four Pianos: Three Evenings of Music & Continuous Tape Music [Set]

Two rare Steve Reich flyers - one for three performances of music by Reich held March 17, 18 & 19, 1967 at the Park Place Gallery, New York. The other for the group exhibition at Park Place Gallery during the same month (March 1967) which featured Reich's work "Continuous Tape Music". The other artists in the group exhibit were minimalist sculptors Charles Ross ("Prisms and Lenses") and Jerry Foyster ("Mirrors"), and painter Dean Fleming ("Primal Panels").

The music performances included works by Reich performed by Philip Corner, Jon Gibson, Arthur Murphy, James Tenney and Reich himself. Max Neuhaus also performed and distributed "Bi-Product". Reich has stated that these performances were pivotal in the dissemination of his music in New York City. Item #430.

Condition: Four Pianos = Very Good, faint soft crease along length of flyer; Continuous Tape Music = Good, soft crease along width of flyer.
