Poster for Interfaith Day, designed by legendary American graphic designer Paul Rand. Interfaith Day was an annual New York celebration promoting peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding among different religions. Rand designed multiple posters for the event over the years, creating them during the historically tumultuous period of the 1940s and early 1950s, a time of heightened tension, particularly for Jewish communities in the aftermath of World War II. Exhibition poster and a separate announcement postcard, published in conjunction with the second and third “performances and activities” of NYU’s Art Student Association series, produced by gallerist John Gibson and collectively titled BODY. The announcement features a white negative image of performance artist Vito Acconci printed on a black background. The first performance in the series included artists Vito Acconci, Terry Fox, Dan Graham, and Dennis Oppenheim. The second set of performances, presented two weeks later, featured Bruce Nauman, Richard Serra, and Michael Snow. BODY is considered a landmark.....

Exhibition poster published in conjunction with Dan Flavin’s show at the Dwan Gallery, New York, in 1971. The poster features a black-and-white photograph of Barnett Newman by Paul Katz. The exhibition included four fluorescent tube sculptures created as a tribute to Newman, an abstract expressionist artist whom Flavin greatly admired. Flavin is known for his minimalist sculptures constructed from his signature media, commercially available fluorescent tubing. His iconic site-specific “situational” installations focus on the interplay between light, space, and the viewer's experience, often creating room-sized environments of light.

An announcement card for a publication party for "The Poets of the New York School" on December 8, 1969 at Gotham Book Mart. The book was published by the University of Pennsylvania and distributed by the Gotham Book Mart. The event was a chance to meet the poets and artists featured in the book which included John Ashberry, Barbara Guest, Frank O'Hara, Kenneth Koch, Fairfield Porter, Joe Brainard, Alex Katz and Robert Goodnough, among many others. Gotham Book Mart, now closed, was a legendary bookstore, writers' center, and literary salon.....

The exhibition announcement card for "ALife: Shop" a pop-up project featuring 60 artists at Deitch Projects Gallery in New York City. The card mimics Andy Warhol's famous Campbell's soup can and inspiration for the art shop came from Keith Haring’s Pop Shop of the 1980s. Alife was/is a NYC collective and artist's agency. Some of the participating artists were Kaws, Brendan Fowler, Doze, Dynamo/Keith and Alisa Dynamo, Ed Templeton, Galaxia,HUGA/Green Lady, Neverstop/Caterina deCarlo, Ryan McGinness, Shepard Fairey, Space Invader, Tommy Guerrero, Toy Group 360, Twist and Young Kim.

Announcement of and invitation to join the SCU, a moderate student organization dedicated to nonviolent dialogue and academic freedom. The SCU was founded in May 1968 in direct opposition to the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) and its violent activities. This flyer states that the SCU is involved in university restructuring, position papers, study groups, campus debates and social activities and warned that another violent spring could threaten the very existence of Columbia. The flyer is stamped March 17, 1969 at the bottom.

Flyer promoting the Socialist Workers Party in the 1969 election. One side features the candidates for New York City government offices with Paul Boutelle for mayor, while the other spells out the Party's platform. The SWP formed in 1937 as a splinter group of Trotskyists from the Socialist Party and went through several major transformations over the following decades. By the late 1960s, the SWP was strongly involved in the Black nationalist movement, the anti-Vietnam-war effort and women's rights, all of which are strongly represented on this flyer.
