The rare original printing of Victor Moscoso's fifth poster for his company Neon Rose, which he established in 1966 to give him more artistic control over his designs. Featuring the band Sopwith Camel for a series of dates in February of 1967 at San Francisco's Matrix club, an early and key venue in developing SF's legendary psychedelic sound. The later printing has "© 1967 NEON ROSE #5 Moscoso” in the lower right, but this original printing has 1967 NEON ROSE Moscoso" omitting the #5, and designating it as the first.....

A folded newsprint pamphlet from the Students for a Democratic Society consisting of two items: a 14" x 22" fold-out poster advertising their 1972 Convention Against Racism held at Harvard University, plus a folded sheet with a registration form for the convention to be mailed back to the SDS. Calling itself on the pamphlet a "militant, nation-wide student organization," the SDS organized against racism, for worker's right and in opposition to the Vietnam War. It grew to over 300 campus chapters but eventually dissolved in 1974, becoming the Committee Against.....

These concerts on September 29 & 30, 1967 occurred during the first month the club was open. Chet Helms was manager of Big Brother and the Holding Company, which famously added Janis Joplin as its singer for a period. Helms formed Family Dog Productions, and began.....

Chet Helms was manager of Big Brother and the Holding Company, which famously added Janis Joplin as its singer for a period. Helms formed Family Dog Productions, and began producing concerts at the Fillmore Auditorium alongside a young Bill Graham. Helms and Family Dog hired a group of young artists to design the graphics for their posters and handbills, which became the standard by which all psychedelic concert posters.....

Oregon ceramic workshop poster featuring several images of pottery fires produced in connection with the 3rd Annual Salt-Fire Workshop in 1974. The workshops included raku sessions, wheel building, communal meals and a sweat lodge. Located near The Dalles, two hours east of Portland, Oregon, the event exemplifies the back to land and craft movements prevalent in Oregon's '70s counterculture. The poster advertises that the workshops occur on a "functioning organic homestead" and that P.K. Hoffman (the American ceramist who studied with the some of the greats of the American Revolution.....
