Exhibition poster for the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum's 1991 A.M. Cassandre show. This exhibition was the first major retrospective of works by French painter and Art Deco poster artist A.M. Cassandre held in Tokyo. The poster was designed by Kazumasa Nagai, one of the most prominent Japanese graphic designers of the 20th century. It features one of Nagai’s distinctive grotesque animal illustrations, a recurring motif in his work at the time, which appears to carry a miniature version of one of Cassandre’s iconic posters.
