A 1920 pochoir-printed plate from the Paris fashion magazine, Gazette du Bon Ton. The magazine was published from 1912-1925 and featured exquisitely printed illustrations of the latest fashions using the pochoir printing process, in which stencils were created for the various colors and the plates hand-painted. This illustration is by Eduardo Garcia Benito, a Spanish illustrator influenced by Modigliani who had a long association with Vogue magazine and did many covers for them. On fine paper with deckled edges.
Condition: Very Good, age toning to paper which increases at edges.
