The Portland Center for the Visual Arts was an exhibition space founded by artists in 1971. The gallery exhibited artists such as Eleanor Antin, Dan Flavin, Robert Smithson, Robert Irwin, and Bruce Nauman, along with many Northwest artists. This event poster features upcoming performances and exhibitions by Buster Simpson, Aleck Karis, Ishmael Houston-Jones, Fay Jones and Deborah Slater.

The cover of this program features four (fast-approaching) views of the iconic Robert Rauschenberg performance image of the artist on roller skates with a parachute strapped to his back. The three dance concerts featured performances and collaborations by Trisha Brown, Deborah Hay, Alex Hay, Steve Paxton, Jill Johnston and Rauschenberg.
A folded annoucement card for a party at the Gotham Book Mart on December 8, 1966 to celebrate the publication of "Martha Graham: Portrait of the Lady as an Artist," and to meet the artist. With a matching laid-in card stating that Ms. Graham has graciously consented to inscribe copies of the book ordered before December 8.
