The complete set of four exhibition postcards for the Dwan Gallery's highly-influential "Language Shows," beginning with 1967's "Language to be Looked at and/or Things to be Read" curated by Robert Smithson and Sol LeWitt. The Dwan Gallery was among the first to produce exhibits focusing on language, and the 1967 group show brought together works by Duchamp, Smithson, LeWitt, On Kawara, Jasper Johns, Carl Andre, Picabia and Ad Reinhardt, among others. The original America press kit for Francois Truffaut's directorial debut and masterpiece "The 400 Blows." Issued by the Ben Adler Advertising Service in 1959, the year of the film's release. Featuring dot-screen artwork for reproducing, press quotes for the film, advertising mats (ad mats) of various sizes on glossy stock that were for theaters to use when placing ads in newspapers to promote their screenings of the film. Ace Space or Ace SpaceCo was an important part of the correspondence art network, associated with Intermedia and known for using his van as a mobile art center.
