Volume 2, Number 4 of Guerrilla, "The Free Newspaper of the Streets.” This poster/broadside issue with the bold headline "Poetry Demands Unemployment." Published in Detroit in 1968 by Allen Van Newkirk and his Center for Paleocybernetic Research and edited by Van Newkirk and Susan Hodges. Van Newkirk was known to stage solo raids on any radical gatherings that he deemed not sufficiently revolutionary. At a poetry reading he once ran towards the poet firing a pistol (with blanks) and shouting “death to the bourgeois poets”. Item #939.
