Clement Greenberg's scarce catalog of the important touring exhibit "Post Painterly Abstraction," which highlighted 31 artists' Greenberg felt were taking abstraction in new direction. The exhibit was organized by LACMA and appeared there April 23-June 7, 1964 then toured later that year to the Walker Art Center and The Art Gallery of Toronto. Each artist receives a biography page and a facing black and white illustration, including Frankenthaler, Stella, Noland, Krushenick, Feeley, Jensen and Morris Louis, among others.
