The exhibition poster for David Novros' first one-person show at the Dwan Gallery, Los Angeles, from November 1-26, 1966. Novros was an original member of the artist-run, cooperative Park Place Gallery in New York, which also included Mark di Suvero, Robert Grosvenor and others (the poster notes "courtesy of Park Place Gallery"). He is known for his colorful, shaped and multi-paneled canvases. Works from this exhibit are now in the collections at MoMA and the Menil in Houston. Novros has a permanent, site-specific fresco (his first, painted in 1969-1970) in Donald Judd's Spring Street studio building in New York, which was restored and opened to the public in 2013.
