William T. Wiley: Staempfli Gallery

A die-cut flyer for a William T. Wiley exhibition at Staempfli Gallery in 1964. The inside of the flyer has the artist's biography and folding instructions. The reverse side features a Wiley drawing. The flyer is die-cut with tabs so that it could be folded and assembled into a pyramid. Wiley's practice spans a wide variety of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, film, and performance. Between 1962 and 1973 Wiley joined the UC Davis Art Department alongside Bay Area Funk Movement artists Robert Arneson and Roy De Forest, where Bruce Nauman was among his students. An early piece of Wiley ephemera. Item #639.

Condition: Very Good; folded as issued; rubbing and some wear along folds and at corners; faint spotting to interior.
