An original signed gouache drawing by Eleanor Engdahl, possibly as a study for graphic, textile, fashion or even wallpaper design. Little is known about the artist, although records were found for an Eleanor Engdahl who died in Portland, OR in 1967. In her portfolio were notes to the effect of "two designs due by Friday" etc. An unfounded idea that is interesting to consider is that the Jantzen swimwear company was based in Portland during the time these artworks were most likely created, and some of her designs are reminiscent of their graphic approach. Perhaps she worked for Jantzen? Framed in white wood with UV glass. Additional shipping rates apply. Item #409.
Condition: Very Good, toning to paper and a few minor spots.
