Artists of Oregon 1972: Portland Art Museum

An exhibition of Oregon artists jurored by Rose Slivka, the editor of "Craft Horizons" and the author of "The Crafts of the Modern World." This folded brochure includes a list of works for the 1972 exhibition held at the Portland Art Museum. The Director of the museum notes in his introductory statement that painting was the dominant medium of the artists included in the exhibition. Additionally, the four artists (and the title of the works) that were granted awards in the exhibition were noted: Louis Bunce, George Johanson, Charles Kelly, Phil St. Clair. Perhaps what is most useful about is document beyond the list of artists working in Oregon in 1972 are the titles of the works shown along with the prices of the works at the time of the exhibition. Item #298.
