Oregon ceramic workshop poster featuring several offset printed photographs of pottery fires produced in connection with the 3rd Annual Salt-Fire Workshop in 1974. The workshops included raku sessions, wheel building, communal meals and a sweat lodge. Located near The Dalles, 2 hours east of Portland, Oregon, the event exemplifies the back to land and craft movements prevalent in Oregon's 70s counterculture. The poster advertises that the workshops occur on a "functioning organic homestead" and that P.K. Hoffman (the American ceramist who studied with the some of the greats of the American Revolution in Clay) would be presiding. Item #241.
