A collection of 13 short stories by queer writer and critic Gary Indiana (born Gery Hoisington). His debut collection introduces the dark, gritty, cinematic style that would come to define much of his later work, including Horse Crazy and Gone Tomorrow. Alongside his fiction, Indiana became well known for his commentary on contemporary culture and politics, contributing to numerous periodicals and serving for several years as an art critic for the influential New York publication The Village Voice.
Published by Calamus Books, a small press founded by writer Larry Mitchell and dedicated to male literature. The cover art is by American conceptual artist Barbara Kruger. Item #2192.
