Cy Twombly: Paradise
One of the most delicious of Twombly books in our opinion :). Published on the occasion of the first comprehensive exhibition of Cy Twombly’s work in Latin America, held at Museo Jumex in Mexico City in 2014. Bringing together paintings, works on paper and sculptures, the exhibition collectively spanned nearly six decades of the artist’s career, from 1951 to 2011.
This expansive catalogue features full-color reproductions, including full-bleed, double-page details of selected works, alongside an essay by curator and author Philip Larratt-Smith. Together, the reproductions and accompanying text offer an in-depth exploration of Twombly’s dramatic gestural vocabulary, lush and energetic color palette and the breadth of his artistic practice. Out of print.
