Signed Original Drawing by Albert Elia
An original fashion illustration by influential American fashion illustrator Albert Elia. Active during the 1960s and 1970s, Elia taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Parsons School of Design in New York City and The New School. Featuring three additional drawings affixed by the artist to the primary illustration with vintage masking tape, Elia creates a striking collage composition. The work is signed and stamped by the artist. An inscription on the reverse, dated 1983, is dedicated to a former student, Diane, although the illustration was created in 1980. Item #2175.
Condition: Very Good, two closed tears along right bottom corner, both smaller than .25"; two open tears along bottom edge, both smaller than .125"; light foxing to 5.5" section of left side of drawing; soft creasing along right edge; light edgewear.
