One of 600 copies, American photographer Peter Sutherland’s 2015 photobook juxtaposes unaltered full-color photographs with his mixed-media “paintings,” exploring the dichotomies between the natural and the manmade.
Created from photographs printed on mesh and overlaid to form new, blended images, often with additional layers of spray paint and stickers, these collages showcase the range of Sutherland’s work from the polished beginning to raw end. They bring into conversation ideas of nature and human intervention, examining what control, or the lack of it, looks like within these environments. Out of print. Item #2106.
