Robert Brownjohn: Sex and Typography
A retrospective look at the life and work of American graphic designer Robert Brownjohn. Perhaps known best for his later work in film, creating iconic title sequences for the James Bond films From Russia with Love (1963) and Goldfinger (1964), Brownjohn’s relatively short career, lasting less than a quarter of a century, demonstrated a distinctive fusion of wit, 1960s pop culture and rigorous graphic design methods, securing his place in both American and British design history.
Photographs, eulogies, ephemera and printed works, along with introductory essays by Emily King and Alan Fletcher, come together to illuminate Brownjohn’s career and enduring legacy. Out of print. Item #2101.
