Victorious Nicaragua Poster: Ni se Vende, Ni se Rinde (1987)
A scarce poster celebrating the spirit of resistance in Nicaragua for the 12th World Festival of Youth and Students, held in Moscow in 1985. The festival, whose slogan was "For anti-imperialist solidarity, peace and friendship," was attended by people from 157 different countries.
The poster includes the popular phrase "Victorious Nicaragua...we will never sell out or surrender" (ni se vende, ni se rinde). The slogan was a core ideology of the Sandinista government and it frequently appeared in political speeches attacking U.S. foreign policy as one of imperialism. Item #2069.
Condition: Fair, overall fading to poster; rough pinholes and tear-outs in four corners; tape residue along bottom with 1.5" and 2" closed tears, taped on reverse; soft creasing and surface dimples.
