From Carlquist's "Natural Man" series capturing the male nude in the natural environment, with most of the photographs taken at sites around California: Death Valley, Devil's Punchbowl, Hollow Beach, Bisti Wilderness and San Marco Pass, among others. A few photos taken in Hawaii and New Mexico. Most of Carlquist's models were uncircumcised. With a list of models, locations and date of photographs in the back. With 212 photos in black and white. Numbered edition: No. 402 of 2,000 copies and signed by Carlquist in bold marker on the title page.
Carlquist was a educator, botanist, and Guggenheim Fellow, and taught at Claremont Graduate School, Pomona College and UC Santa Barbara. He died in 2021. Must be 18 or older to purchase. Item #1972.
