Bruce Gilden: Coney Island
A collection of photographs and recollections by American street photographer Bruce Gilden. Spanning from the late 1960s to the late 1980s, the collection of Gilden’s Coney Island photographs documents the declining reputation of this historic New York weekend hot spot. Featuring candid, close-up, high-contrast images of people on the streets, Gilden captures the eccentricities of daily life in this outlying suburb.
This volume features black-and-white photographs, some accompanied by Gilden’s handwritten memories. Item #1960.
Condition: Very Good-, light rubbing and soiling to front and back covers; top edge of front cover with four .25" bumps; corner bumps to lower left and right corners of front cover and lower left corner of back cover, resulting in roughly .25" loss; light edgewear.
