Scarce 1980 artist’s book from one of the most influential conceptual and minimalist artists of the 20th century, Sol LeWitt. Arranged in 3-by-3 grids of black-and-white images, this artists' book documents all the possessions in LeWitt’s home and studio, presented in the format of a visual dictionary that provides a unique insight into his methods of organization. Objects range from houseplants to bathroom accessories, and from LeWitt’s ancestry to artists’ books. A unique piece of conceptual art, LeWitt uses the book format to explore and expand the idea of the autobiographical genre, offering a glimpse into his world through objects. Item #1946.
