Stanley Fisher "Sex-o-cide 1965" Exhibition Poster
Exhibition poster published in conjunction with Stanley Fisher’s solo show at the Grippi & Waddell Gallery, New York, in September 1965. The exhibition, titled Sex-O-Cide 1965, featured his collage paintings and the color film Peaches and Cream. The poster depicts a black-and-white image of Fisher’s work DRO Bomb, c., a collage of spray paint and paper on canvas.
Fisher is known for his poetry and later collage work, often heavily influenced by his memories of serving as a combat medic in World War II, and for his role as a co-founder of the NO!art movement—a radical, avant-garde, anti-art movement launched in New York in 1959. Item #1842.
