Pander, who emigrated to Portland, Oregon in 1965, is known for his dramatic drawings, watercolors, and oil paintings depicting the human condition including war, the skylines of Portland, Amsterdam, erotic fantasies and more.
A prominent figure in the Northwest art scene from the 1960s until his death in 2023, Pander’s dynamic career saw him experiment and excel in various forms such as poster making, portraiture, line drawings and documentary paintings, demonstrating his talent and lasting impact.
