A souvenir booklet with 24 tipped-in black and white collotypes of scenes along the Columbia River and Gorge including Multnomah, Latourelle, and Bridal Veil Falls, Mt. Hood, Cape Horn, Rooster Rock, the Pillars of Hercules and more. The photographers are not credited. Many of the photos have become iconic Columbia river images from the period due to having been reproduced as various prints, postcards and souvenirs. Currently no other copies can be located online.

With a copyright for The Albertype Co. of Brooklyn, New York, known for its use of collotypes, a process of making high-quality prints from a sheet of light-sensitive gelatin exposed photographically to the image without using a screen. Item #1616.

Condition: Good, bumping/chipping and creasing to yapped covers plus scuffing and soiling to covers; a few closed tears at edges of interior pages.
