The rare first printing of "Cedric Price: Works II" published by the Architectural Association of London in 1984 to coincide with their exhibit in June of that year. With essays and images in black and white of projects, both realized and unrealized, by the British visionary architect, teacher and writer who often created utopian and theoretical visions of progressive and transformational architecture.
With unique die-cut tabs for the sections of the book, including "Action and Inaction," "Time and Being, "Uncertainty and the delight of the Unknown, "Beneficial Change and Inevitable Ageing, "Free Space and Its Operational Metrix," plus a chronology and biography at the end. A facsimile reprint entitled "Cedric Price: The Square Book" was published in 2003, also now rare and out of print. Price died in London in 2003. Item #1541.
Condition: Very Good+, tiny dogears to cover corners and very light scuffs to glossy paper wraps; light sunning around edges of front cover; previous owner's architect stamp to first page; lifting to paper on inside of back cover, likely from the removal of a sticker; now in a custom-made protective mylar dust jacket.
