The oversize exhibition poster for the show "The World of Art Deco" at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts from July 8-September 5, 1971. Designed is light greens, blues, coral and yellow by the shooting star British team of Bentley/Farrell/Burnett. They were a short-lived (1968-1971) but important British design company that were clearly influenced by Milton Glaser and Seymour Chwast's Push Pin Studios. Mike Dempsey in Eye Magazine (2017) writes: "BFB were graphic design meteorites, burning brightly for a short time. But they left behind a remarkable, head-turning body of work, echoes of which are now surfacing in generations of designer-illustrators for whom the late 1960s is a distant dream." Item #1480.
Condition: Very Good, some areas of light dimpling to poster; a 1.0" inch area of scraping and a puncture (see last detail photo), otherwise very clean.
