Album La Roche
A wonderfully reproduced facsimile of the journal/album given by Le Corbusier to his friend and client Raoul La Roche, which included original drawings and watercolors of Venice, plus still lifes and notes on Corbusier's urban planning themes.
Produced in collaboration with the Fondation Le Corbusier of Paris in a numbered edition of only 300 copies, this is number 236. The hardcover facsimile album is accompanied by a small paperback second volume containing critical texts and an essay by the scholar Stanislaus von Moos, as well as a transcription of the handwritten notes contained in the album. Printed and bound in Italy. Item #1429.
Condition: Fine, like new; previous owner's architect stamp to the exterior cardboard box.
