A rare, original signed etching by Michael Bowen, the co-organizer of San Francisco's Human Be-In during 1967's Summer of Love. Bowen was also the co-founder of San Francisco's Oracle, the legendary counterculture publication known for its psychedelic artwork and multi-colored printing. Bowen painted and studied art throughout his life, along with practices and studies related to mysticism and spirituality. Bowen died in Stockholm in 2009. Finely detailed, dense with imagery and printed in red-blue-purple hues with gold and silver leaf embellishments. Signed by Bowen in pencil in the lower right, with "1975 A/P" in lower left, denoting an Artist's Proof of the print. Item #1407.
