Original Signed Etching: Untitled (Unicorn and Sun, 1975)
A rare, original signed etching by Michael Bowen, the co-organizer of San Francisco's Human Be-In during 1967's Summer of Love. Bowen was also the co-founder of San Francisco's Oracle, the legendary counterculture publication known for its psychedelic artwork and multi-colored printing. Bowen painted and studied art throughout his life, along with practices and studies related to mysticism and spirituality. Bowen died in Stockholm in 2009. Finely detailed and printed in purple and orange hues, and embellished with gold and silver leaf. Signed and dated by Bowen in pencil in the lower right. Item #1403.
Condition: Very Good- with foxing around border (more prominent along top) and a few small nicks and spots to paper around border; two pinholes at center top.
