Pop Shop Tokyo Button (Yellow, 1986)
An original Pop Shop Tokyo button in yellow and black from the store that Haring opened in Tokyo in 1987. It was based on his New York Pop Shop opened in 1986 at 292 Lafayette in the Soho neighborhood of NYC, but the Tokyo store was only open for about a year. Slightly larger (1.25" vs. 1" in diameter) and thicker than the NYC Pop Shop buttons, and more scarce. Item #1369.
Condition: Very Good+, light oxidation to back of button; minor surface scuffs.
