The 1901 American Edition, from the 15th English Edition, of "Anatomy, Descriptive and Surgical" also known as "Gray's Anatomy". With 780 illustrations "many of which are new," including many color plates. An early edition of an important book in the history of medicine still used today (now in its 41st edition). Would make a special gift for a medical student, intern or new doctor. Item #1360.
Condition: Fair to Acceptable, sewn binding showing some looseness but still holding; evidence of previous moisture damage and mildew, more prominent at the rear of the book causing rippling to pages; soiling/staining to covers (some reddish in color!); a large tear to page 591; some nicks and small gouges to leather covers; the spine still presents nicely on the shelf.
