Steven Leiber's bookseller's poster/catalog No. 51, released for the 2010 NY Art Book Fair, mimicing the design for Experiments in Art & Technology's "9 Evenings: Theatre & Engineering" from 1966 (see the original E.A.T. poster in our listing for the E.A.T. Archive of items listed on our website). Leiber, a Bay Area dealer who championed artists' ephemera, produced famous catalogs that smartly payed homage via appropriation to moments, works or artists in contemporary art history such as Ruscha, Fluxus, Dada, conceptual art and other genres. The back side of the poster lists and documents 105 offerings for the fair (with prices) including works and artists' books/ephemera by Twombly, Kiefer, Kippenberger, Wilke, Warhol, Weiner, Beuys, Darboven, Holzer, LeWitt, Maciunas, Broodthaers and others.
In 2019 Inventory Press and Rite Editions published a survey documenting all of Leiber's catalogs, titled "Steven Leiber Catalogs". This was his second to last catalog, with No. 52 being the last. Leiber died in 2012. Printed in an edition of 350 copies. Scarce. Item #1312.
Condition: Very Good, folded as issued; some light wear/rubbing along folds with a small hole at the center-bottom fold.
