Tuxedomoon Tour Poster (Circa 1980)

An oversized tour poster for Tuxedomoon, the pioneering post-punk, new wave (no wave) band that formed in San Francisco in 1977. They signed with The Residents' label Ralph Records and released their first album in 1980. The band also appeared in and is on the soundtrack of the cult NYC film "Downtown 81" starring Jean-Michel Basquiat, which also included cameos by many New York icons such as Debbie Harry, John Lurie and Fab 5 Freddie. Tour dates noted on the poster include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver BC, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and New York (at Danceteria). Poster design by Patrick Roques. Longtime member Peter Principle died in 2020 as the band was preparing to record an album celebrating their 40th anniversary. Item #1303.

Condition: Very Good-, some surface creases and wrinkling from previous rolling; faint yellowing spot near top/center; light edgewear.
