Tuxedomoon and DNA at the Palace / SF (1979)

An oversized concert poster for Tuxedomoon plus New York's DNA (in their first SF appearance) on August 16, 1979 at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre. Tickets were $6. Tuxedomoon formed in SF in the late 1970s and pioneered a post-punk, new wave (no wave) sound. DNA was founded by guitarist Arto Lindsay and keyboardist Robin Crutchfield in 1977. Both bands appeared in, and are on the soundtrack of, the cult NYC film "Downtown 81" starring Jean-Michel Basquiat, which also included cameos by many New York icons such as Debbie Harry, John Lurie and Fab 5 Freddie. Longtime Tuxedomoon member Peter Principle died in 2020 as the band was preparing to record an album celebrating their 40th anniversary. Item #1302.

Condition: Very Good, pinholes in four corners and some surface creases from previous rolling.
