The collectible first issue of Big Table, a literary journal which was born out of the suppression of writing that was to be included in the Winter 1959 issue of the Chicago Review, which was rejected by the administration of the University of Chicago. Famously includes ten episodes of William S. Burroughs' Naked Lunch, the complete work which was published later that year by Olympia Press in Paris. Also includes the first appearance of Jack Kerouac's Old Angel Midnight, and three poems by Gregory Corso entitled Power, Army and Police, among other writing. Edited by Irving Rosenthal. In a custom-made protective mylar jacket Item #1214.
