An original first printing handbill of Rick Griffin's famous and extremely rare "Hawaiian Aoxomoxoa" handbill promoting three canceled Grateful Dead Concerts at the Honolulu International Center/Exhibit Hall that were to occur on July 25-27, 1969.
From a collection of psychedelic handbills and postcards that have been in storage for years, and collected by a music industry veteran and record producer. Authenticity can further be confirmed by the back, showing the faint bleed-through and patina of the oil-based printing inks used at the time.
It's a Beautiful Day was also scheduled to appear at the concerts. Considered to be one of the most sought after and rarest images in psychedelic concert art. Two copies are available in slightly different condition (see other listing). You think? Item #1151.
Condition: Very Good+, very light edgewear and slight loss rounded edgewear at corners; a 1" x 1.25" piece of scotch tape is adhered to back near middle/top (see image); faint .5" crease at top left corner.
