WET Magazine: Issue 17

WET, "The Magazine of Gourmet Bathing and Beyond," was founded by Leonard Koren in Venice, CA and ran for 34 issues from 1976-1981. It became renowned for its unusual mix of design, fashion, art, nudity and the emerging wholistic health trends of the 1970s. While it was influential in fashion and design, it did regularly feature articles and information related to baths and bathing, saunas, showering and other manner of personal and public hydro culture. It also featured inspired ads for new and trendsetting LA brands and boutiques such as Peter Shire, The Soap Plant and others.

This March/April 1979 issue's theme is the "future," and features articles on future fashion, the possibility of a "personality virus," future politics, a gondola in Japan that features bathing, Environic studies, a Brian Eno interview, and more. Subscriptions cards still present. Scarce. Item #1139.
