An oversize poster for a Carlo Scarpa exhibition at the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice from June 30-October 14, 1984 and sponsored by the City of Venice Department of Culture. Scarpa was commissioned in the early 1960s to restore parts of the Stampalia Foundation's historic 1868 building including interior, exterior and garden elements. The dates at the top of the poster refer to the year of birth (1906) and death (1978) of Scarpa. Carlo Scarpa was an Italian architect influenced by Venetian and Japanese architecture and known for a combintation of attention to detail and craft while using modern technologies and material to create his buildings and furniture.
