A set of artist playing cards, designed by painter/sculptor/printmaker Donald Sultan, who gained prominence in New York in the 1980s. He is also known for using industrial materials such as tar, vinyl tile, masonite, rubber and spackle in his work. The original drawings were charcoal and conte crayon, and a signed/limited edition of 100 of the decks were issued in a wooden box. This deck is from the unsigned trade edition and contains 52 playing cards, two jokers and one deck identification card in a stiff paper box. Item #1052.
Condition: Cards = Fine; Box = Near Fine, with a 1.25" x 1" area of residue and lifting to paper on back, likely from a removed price sticker.
