Issue #10 (April 1974) of the collectively-edited publication from the feminist back-to-the-land commune Country Women in Albion, CA on the Mendocino coast. In at least 33 issues published through 1979, Country Women featured articles on feminist shared experience, practical how-to tips on country living (animal raising, carpentry, farming) and published poetry, songs and drawings by contributors from around the country. Each issue usually focused on a theme, plus practical articles.
This issue's theme was "Spirituality" and includes articles on religious freakism, a letter from a Quaker woman, Feminism and the Aquarian age, the country as a spiritual freeway, witchcraft, meditation and frustration, fasting, and more. Practical articles include companion planting, health and yoga, raising goats, preventive auto maintenance, self defense/rape, home brew, tipis and others. Item #1036.
