Whole Earth Catalog: September 1970

The September 1970 issue of the Whole Earth Catalog in the format that was formerly known as "The Supplement" and "The Difficult But Possible Supplement to the Whole Earth Catalog", in which the covers are not black but printed newsprint. A note inside the first issue of the Whole Earth Catalog states "If the content of the...Catalog is mostly products, the content of the....Supplement is mostly processes". On pages 50 and 51 of this issue are the corrections to the Spring 1970 and Fall 1969 catalogs. Other articles and topics included are an essay by Wendell Berry, "A Chairmaker at Work", "An Indian Bibliography", Appalachia, listings for new products, plus reader's letters and tips including a recipe for crunchy granola. Item #1024.

Condition: Good, edgewear and chips to newsprint covers; wear and small tears at staples along spine although still solidly attached; previous owner's name written on inside margin of page 3; age toning to newsprint.
