Mt. Omei (also Emei) in China has been a major religious site and "holy mountain" for over fifteen hundred years. Early Western visitors wrote descriptions of their experiences with the site, but Dryden Phelps (Professor of English Literature at West China Union University) went much further and translated the Mount Emei Illustrated Handbook, a Chinese-language guide first published in 1891. This 1936 translation and "new edition" features the original Chinese text with an English translation and annotations below. The rare overisze (17.5" x 22.5") poster for the Red Hot Chili Peppers concerts in Seattle (Moore Theatre) and Portland (Pine Street Theatre) on March 30 and April 1, 1988. A relatively early Chili Peppers poster and concert tour supporting their third studio album, the tour was known as the "Uplift Mofo Party Tour." Featuring the band photo including D.H. Crackerbash featured Sean Croghan, Scott Fox on bass, and drummer Doug Nash (later Teddy Miller on drums).
