Gazette du Bon Ton Pochoir Print: Le Rideau d'Argent
A 1922 pochoir-printed plate from the Paris fashion magazine, Gazette du Bon Ton. The magazine was published from 1912-1925 and featured exquisitely printed illustrations of the latest fashions using the pochoir printing process, in which stencils were created for the various colors and the plates hand-painted. This illustration of a design by the fashion team Martial et Armand is by Pierre Mourgue, a French illustrator who also did work for Vogue magazine in the US.
Condition: Very Good, age toning to paper.
