Students for Columbia University: Organizational Platform
Announcement of and invitation to join the SCU, a moderate student organization dedicated to nonviolent dialogue and academic freedom. The SCU was founded in May 1968 in direct opposition to the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) and its violent activities. This flyer states that the SCU is involved in university restructuring, position papers, study groups, campus debates and social activities and warned that another violent spring could threaten the very existence of Columbia. The flyer is stamped March 17, 1969 at the bottom. Item #722.
